The first Highlight : The truck arrives, we have150 boxes on our terrace.
Our Landlord , 82 years old , thought a hostile takeover bid was in process...
the whole family came together......marching likes ducks.........
We introduced ourselves gently and all was calm. Fortunately we could speak with the daughter in pigeon English.
All our belongings were stowed away and our elderly Landlord relaxed.
Quite certainly he thought........crazy Germans.

February 2007

After our first winter in this house, we had survived..., we moved at the end of February
into the village of Eresos in a house with one room more for working and central heating.
This house includes a small shop, which we rented and spend 3 months renovating. Have a look!!!!!

wow, our first Impression..... it is a lot of work!!	from 12 windows 10 must be renewed!!!	We are surprised, as the owner will be removing 2 big cold store units.

This is the Shop window in the beginning..... Great Design, or.........??

The beginning ....

Many steps are needed sänding, and now priming and painting.	At last a glimpse of colour ! ....	Phew, Phew, is there no end to these poles ?

Mmm...sitting on the toilet.......  and painting, good...eh ??.	Good.... the stairs are now painted beautifully now to remove the paint from the door ....

We have the impression, that this now comes together. .	We don´t like this Greek brick wall, we do it properly, German style.	Improvisation is everything........

Finally....the plaser board is here. after a 3 week wait !!	Improvisation is everything... Table on the counter, chair on the washing machine. Now we must climb.	1st attempt with Greek materials...no good.. Everything must be scraped off, super! 2nd attempt  .... Plaster (Greek)....it works .

Between cold store unit and cooker t we find a little place for building.	When it is finished.......it is a counter.	Almost done ...just turn around. This is Number 1. Number 2 follows.

Ready !!!

Just as we are relaxing and everything comes together ... there is a storm and we have water damage.	Looks great, or !?

The penultimate renovation phase.... windows renewed.	Thermo windows would be fine, but....... in these frames....impossible.

10. May 2007.....Opening

The ugly black had to go..........now shines the sun in our street .....

Come in, sit down and feel good.....	In our Shop the sun goes on.	A little bit c...........

It was not so easy, to be creative during the renovation phase.	We had lovely guests.

Also the Greek neighbours brought flowers and gifts..	It was a succesful day ......
